Abstract

This section substantiates the relevance of the problem of personnel development management in higher education institutions in the context of the "Economics of Happiness" theory: it characterises the level of happiness as an indicator for determining, assessing and comparing the socio-economic development of countries; analyses the results of empirical studies of the level of happiness in higher education institutions in Ukraine; and the management of the level of happiness in an organisation is revealed as a management problem.

An analysis of current experience has been carried out and prospects for the development of personnel management in organisations in the context of the theory of "happiness economics" have been projected: theoretical data on personnel management based on the theory of "happiness economics" have been systematised and generalised; characterised personnel development management in the context of the "Economics of Happiness" theory as an innovative management practice; developed proposals for the implementation of personnel development management in higher education institutions in Ukraine in the context of the "Economics of Happiness" theory.
